I've been editing, producing and writing for film and video since 2001.

After apprentice-editing on the award-winning PBS documentary "Maquilopolis," I began freelancing for independent filmmakers, as well as non-profit and corporate clients, and the occasional television show and drama.

So far, I've worked on projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Smithsonian Institute, International Relief and Development (IRD), the Kreeger Museum, HGTV, the Heinz Endowments' Creative Heights Initiative, and the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, among others.

In 2010-'11, I worked as editor on “Breaking the Rules,” a feature documentary on white opposition to apartheid in South Africa, and in spring 2011, I completed work on the feature documentary "Big Banana," which I edited, as well as wrote and post-produced, and which is now in distribution.

More recently, my contribution as additional editor on the feature documentary "Blood Brother" was instrumental in its acceptance to the 2013 Sundance Competition.

In addition to editing short and long-form fiction and non-fiction, I'm a strong story producer, a versatile writer, a seasoned interviewer, and a resourceful researcher. I think that 30-seconds or 30-minutes, real or fiction, a good story is what you make of it.

I'm self-directed, but thrive as part of a collaborative creative team, and I also enjoy interacting and consulting with clients.

I'm organized, dedicated, think on my feet and am learning new technical, creative and business workflows all the time.

For the first several years, I edited on Avid Media Composer, then I had a mix of Avid Express Pro and Final Cut Pro projects. In recent years, it'd been Final Cut, though I've now begun working in Premiere Pro, and am getting back into Avid, too. I'm comfortable with both Mac and PC.

I've edited with a wide variety of formats, codecs and frame rates including PAL, NTSC, mini-DV, DVCPro HD, P2, HDSLR, Red Epic, and even 16mm, and I can shoot 2nd camera as well as run field sound.

From 2010 to 2012, I was priviledged to be VP of Programming for Women in Film and Video, DC (WIFV-DC), which had me producing and coordinating a couple of professional development programs &/or networking events every month, and participating in the organization's governance.

Originally from Montréal, Canada, I'm bilingual (French/English), and have dual Canadian/USA citizenships.

I obtained a B.F.A. in Cinema, at Concordia University in Canada, and a M.Sc. in Sustainability, in Pennsylvania.
